CDC METAL AIRCRAFT MODELS Scale: 1: 100
This is an outstanding line of die-cast metal aircraft models. They are minutely and accurately detailed and come to you completely assembled and painted in authentic colors with appropriate markings and insignia. These are not toys but accurate-to-the-prototype scale models. Weapons are included where appropriate. To give you an idea of the size, a World War II P-51 Mustang has a length of three and a half inches and a wingspan of four inches. A modern F-16 Fighting Falcon has a length of six inches and a wingspan of four inches.
The packaging is very unique. First, all come in their own plastic display cases and are mounted on plastic bases over which the cover fits. Also included is a snap-together black plastic mount. The models can be detached from their bases and mounted on these to give them "altitude". The name of the aircraft is written on both the base and the mount. So you have several choices on how you display your models.
This collection presents you a wide selection of World War II and modern aircraft models in different paint schemes and markings at a much lower cost than wooden models. We've listed below all of the models that are available now and that are scheduled for release this year. If the model(s) you want is not available at the time you order it, we will be glad to put it on backorder for you and will ship it and charge your credit card when it comes in. We are always glad to check stock for you by phone or email. In the listings below, as much info is included as will fit. Fuselage markings are included in parenthesis. Where there is a space in these, it means the letters and/or numbers are on either side of the fuselage insignia. The color refers to the primary color.
